PSTA reinstates free Downtown Looper, extends route service
June 5, 2020 - As Phase Two reopenings begin in Florida, the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA) announced the return of the Downtown St. Petersburg Looper service starting Friday. Service will begin at 7:00am Monday - Friday and 8:00am on weekends. Service ends each night at 10:00pm. The Downtown Looper service was suspended March 30, due COVID-19 and lack of ridership brought on by business and hotel closures as the result of mitigation efforts. PSTA is also announced that multiple bus routes would return beginning June 7. Routes will be returning to regular service levels include: 4, 18, 19, 34, CAT (36), 59, 60, SBT (555), 52/52LX.
