Red tide persists in Pinellas County
September 3, 2021 - The red tide organism, Karenia brevis, persists along Florida’s Gulf Coast. In Southwest Florida, over the past week, K. brevis was observed at very low to high concentrations in and offshore of Pinellas County, very low concentrations in Hillsborough County, low concentrations offshore of Manatee County, and low concentrations in Sarasota County, according to the state's latest data.
