Regulators approve Duke’s request to lower rates
November 6, 2024 - The Florida Public Service Commission has approved Duke Energy Florida’s request to lower rates as part of its annual adjustment for the cost of fuel. Typical residential customers using 1,000 kilowatt-hours will see a $9.77 decrease on their January bill. However, the company plans to file storm recovery costs for Hurricanes Debby, Helene and Milton, which could increase rates by March 2025.
