Sinclair to buy Fox Sports Florida
May 6, 2019 - Sinclair Broadcast Group is buying 21 regional sports networks, including Fox Sports Florida, from Disney in a deal valued at $10.6 billion. Disney was forced to sell the regional channels because of antitrust laws following its earlier purchase of Fox’s entertainment assets for $71.3 billion. Fox Sport Florida broadcasts Tampa Bay Rays and Tampa Bay Buccaneers games.
