SPC joins national effort to simplify college admissions
September 7, 2026 - St. Petersburg College is one of 10 institutions nationwide selected for the Lumina Foundation’s Great Admissions Redesign initiative, which aims to make applying for college simpler and better connect admissions, financial aid, advising and enrollment. SPC will participate alongside Miami Dade College and Indian River State College as the initiative explores approaches including direct admissions, which can proactively offer admission to students based on available data, rather than requiring them to navigate the traditional application process.
