St. Pete accounting firm acquired
September 6, 2019 - St. Petersburg accounting firm Gregory Sharer & Stuart has signed a definitive agreement to be acquired by RSM US LLP, a national provider of audit, tax and consulting services for the middle market. Financial terms were not disclosed. The combined firm will be the 5th largest accounting firm in the Tampa Bay market. Jim Newman, GSS office managing shareholder, will join RSM as partners. The deal is expected to close on Oct. 1. RSM has an office in downtown Tampa and will add GSS' downtown St. Petersburg office at 100 2nd Ave. S., as well as 60 professionals.
