St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport director announces retirement
August 13, 2025 - Thom Jewsbury, director of St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport, has announced his retirement after a 30-year career at the facility. His last day is Oct. 1, and deputy director Mark Sprague will fill Jewsbury's role on an interim basis. Jewsbury, who became director in 2015, has guided the airport through nearly $200 million in capital projects and helped secure over $131 million in grants.
