St. Pete, Gulfport residents appointed to Sixth Circuit Court
October 2, 2020 - Gov. Ron DeSantis has appointed Steve Berlin and Julie Sercus to the Sixth Circuit Court. Berlin currently is a judge for Pinellas County Court. He previously served as a lieutenant colonel for the United States Army JAG Corps. He received his bachelor’s degree from the United States Military Academy and his law degree from the University of Florida. Berlin fills the vacancy created by the resignation of Judge Thomas Minkoff. Sercus has been an assistant statewide prosecutor with the Office of the Attorney General since 2013. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Miami and her law degree from Widener University. Sercus fills the vacancy created by the resignation of Judge Peter Ramsberger. The sixth circuit is comprised of Pasco and Pinellas counties.
