St. Pete High teacher receives $10,000 grant to help students

February 22, 2022 - McDonald's is awarding a St. Petersburg High School teacher $10,000 to help students in need. Tracey Keim launched the Green Devils Closet at St. Petersburg High in 2006, supplying food, clothes, undergarments, personal hygiene products and school supplies to any student without question. Green Devils Closet operates through community donations and student volunteers. As part of its Golden Grant program, Mcdonald's is awarding Keim with a $10,000 grant to support the closet’s mission. Keim was one of just three recipients throughout Florida and Georgia, and the St. Pete High teacher represents the central Florida region. Keim was chosen from 1,200 applicants and receives the award Tuesday during a special presentation at St. Pete High.
