St. Pete officials complete initial damage assessment

August 6, 2024 - Nearly 300 St. Petersburg storm response team members helped conduct an initial damage assessment Monday in Hurricane Debby’s aftermath. While they found over 50 downed trees citywide, power to all traffic lights was restored by Monday afternoon. St. Pete Fire Rescue answered more than 320 calls related to Debby, and damage assessments in low-lying areas will continue today. Officials will then finalize a debris plan and share it with residents.
