St. Pete sets record high temperature

June 5, 2024 - The National Weather Service reported that St. Petersburg set a record-high daily temperature of 96 degrees Tuesday. That surpassed the previous 95 degrees benchmark set in 1985, and official weather records date back to 1914. May was the hottest month in history for many area cities, including Tampa and St. Pete.
