St. Pete startup lands on Moon, again

March 7, 2025 - St. Petersburg-based Lonestar Data Holdings reached the Moon for a second time Thursday afternoon aboard Intuitive Machines’ lunar lander, Athena. Lonestar CEO Chris Stott said his team “crushed” their “big, bold goals,” including sending commands and uploading information to the first physical data center on the Moon. Stott added that Intuitive Machines could extend the two-week lunar mission.
