State delays USF president-elect’s confirmation
November 4, 2025 - The University of South Florida must wait until at least late January 2026 to learn if Moez Limayem will serve as its next president. The Florida Board of Governors was expected to vote on Limayem's confirmation Thursday, but informed USF that it had a full agenda. USF's Board of Trustees selected Limayem, a popular former dean of the Muma College of Business, to succeed President Rhea Law at an Oct. 21 meeting. The next BOG meeting is Jan. 28 and 29, 2026.
