Tampa Bay organization to assist with rescue efforts in Ukraine

February 23, 2022 - After helping evacuate Americans and allies from Afghanistan following the fall of Kabul to the Taliban, a local organization is now poised to assist in rescue efforts in Ukraine. Tampa-based nonprofit Project Dynamo is now in Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv, according to Axios. Bryan Stern, Tampa resident and co-founder of Project Dynamo, told the publication he is planning the first rescue mission of 20-30 people and expects that to take place in the next day or two. He reported the situation is deteriorating amid Russian incursions into Ukraine and urged Americans in the country to leave by any means necessary.
