Tampa Bay’s inflation rate soars
August 12, 2025 - The Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater metro area's inflation rate increased by 1.1% from June to August and 3.3% year-over-year. Those numbers were .4% and 2.6%, respectively, in July and June. Personal finance platform WalletHub ranked Tampa Bay No. 3 on its list of "cities with the biggest inflation problems," which represents a 12-spot jump from its previous monthly report.
