Tampa biotech launches capital raise
July 5, 2019 - Morphogenesis Inc., a Tampa biotech company, has raised $495,000 as part of a larger $15 million offering. The company issued options and convertible promissory notes to five investors, according to a July 3 filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Tampa health care entrepreneur Dr. Kiran Patel is chairman of the board of Morphogenesis, after leading a $16 million Series A funding round last year. The company is developing personalized immunotherapies to treat cancer.
