Tampa business leader to chair USF board of trustees
June 8, 2021 - Will Weatherford, the managing partner of Tampa-based Weatherford Capital and former Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives, has been named chairman of the University of South Florida Board of Trustees, effective July 1. Weatherford, a graduate of Jacksonville University, recently served as co-chairman of the Super Bowl LV Host Committee. Mike Griffin, Tampa market leader for Savills, an international real estate services company, has been named vice chairman of the board of trustees. Weatherford and Griffin will both serve two-year terms on the board.
