Tampa man breaks record for fastest mile while pushing a stroller

January 24, 2022 - Rob Holcomb, 35, and his newborn daughter Greta broke the world record for running the fastest mile while pushing a stroller on Sunday. A Tampa resident, Holcomb set the new record on the track at Tampa’s Coleman Middle School. His time of 4:53 easily beat the previous record of 4:57:10, although this was Holcomb’s third attempt. To qualify, a human being must ride along in the stroller, and all four wheels must remain on the ground for the duration of the mile. Someone must also record the attempt. Holcomb said he will now turn his attention to the Publix Gasparilla Distance Classic in February.
