Tampa moving and storage startup receives $50M investment

February 5, 2022 - Tampa-based Red Rover Moving and Storage, founded by PODS Founder Pete Warhurst, received a $50 million investment from Oppenheimer and Co.'s asset management business. "We're extremely excited to realize this increased investment from Oppenheimer,” Warhurst said in a release. “The $50 million raised will allow us to accelerate our growth plans by providing the ability to open additional new markets in 2022.” The $50 million raise includes a previous $15 million investment round from Oppenheimer that occurred last year. There were 78 investors who participated in the round, according to a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing. Red Rover has three facilities in the Tampa Bay region and centers in Massachusetts, North Carolina, New York and Texas.
