Tampa-St. Pete among metros with most female entrepreneurs
May 21, 2019 - The Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater metro area ranks No. 20 among communities nationwide for the number of startups owned by women. About one in every four young company in the Tampa-St. Pete metro was a female-owned startup in 2016, a report from Seek Business Capital said. The 1,608 female-owned startups collectively employed 3,653 workers and had gross sales/receipts totaling $150 million to $500 million.
