Tampa surpasses 10,000 goal for affordable housing units
October 29, 2026 - The City of Tampa has surpassed Mayor Jane Castor’s goal to create 10,000 affordable housing opportunities. According to a prepared statement, 10,770 units are now planned, underway or completed. Additionally, "almost half of those 10,770 units are currently under construction or completed."
