Tampa tech firm raises $1.2 million
March 25, 2021 - BlockSpaces, a Tampa-based blockchain integration platform, has raised $1.2 million in seed funding that will be used to scale the business, hire new staff and speed up development of the company’s core software. According to a news release, the seed round was led by San Francisco-based Leadout Capital, with additional participation by Silicon Valley-based Brighter Capital and BlockFund Ventures, a Tampa-based group of innovation tech investors. BlockSpaces also received investments from Tony DiBenedetto, co-founder of Tribridge, and Greg Pierce, who was an executive at Concerto Cloud, a Tribridge affiliate. Pierce will serve as chairman of BlockSpaces’ board of directors, the release stated.
