Tony Janus award goes to former Airbus CEO
July 1, 2019 - The Tony Janus Distinguished Aviation Society in Tampa named Thomas “Tom” Enders, former CEO of Airbus, as the 2019 recipient of the Tony Janus Award. The award is presented annually for outstanding achievement in the field of commercial aviation. Under Enders’ leadership, Airbus went through profound strategy and governance changes and developed into one of the world’s largest and most successful aerospace companies, a news release said. An award banquet honoring Enders will be Nov. 15 at the Opal Sands Resort on Clearwater Beach.
