Topgolf Carillon project goes to court
March 4, 2020 - A Pinellas County circuit judge is expected to decide in a few weeks whether to allow a lawsuit intended to stop construction of a Topolf in Carillon Office Park to move forward. Judge Thomas Ramsberger heard from opponents and proponents of the planned driving range and restaurant during a one-hour court hearing in St. Petersburg Tuesday. A group of Carillon residents filed suit in November against the City of St. Petersburg, saying its members would be “irreparably harmed” by the project. Attorneys representing Topgolf and the property owners challenged the citizen group's standing in the case and asked the judge to dismiss the lawsuit.
