‘Trop glows blue following new Rays, Duke partnership
November 2, 2022 - St. Petersburg-based Duke Energy Florida recently announced the Tampa Bay Rays’ winning season helped raise over $100,000 for company customers in need. Duke Florida contributed $1,000 to its Share the Light Fund agencies for every Tampa Bay win. To highlight the partnership and raise awareness for the financial assistance available for Florida households, team officials lit Tropicana Field up in blue Sept. 26 after the final home game. Residents can utilize the Share the Light Fund to pay utility expenses. The Duke Energy Foundation matches donations, and the United Way and other agencies distribute the money locally.
