USF breaks ground on new $27.4M student wellness center

June 8, 2021 - The University of South Florida on Tuesday broke ground on a new three-story, 47,000-square-foot, $27.4 million student wellness center at its Tampa campus. The facility, according to a news release, will deliver general medical, urgent care and specialty services, including sexual health and gynecology, physical therapy, dermatology, immunizations, psychiatry and behavioral health, nutrition and travel medicine. It will be nearly four times larger than the existing wellness center, which was been in use since 1980.
