Vinik sells majority Lighting stake, rewards employees

Vinik purchased the Lightning for $93 million in 2010 and will continue overseeing operations for three years. Sportico, citing anonymous sources, reported Thursday that Vinik’s sale equated to a $1.8 billion valuation.
