Visit St. Pete/Clearwater sets milestone for Fiscal Year 2021
November 9, 2021 - Pinellas County Tourist Development Tax collections reached a record high for Fiscal Year 2021, according to Visit St. Pete/Clearwater. Collections totaled $73,162,773.89 for the period between Oct. 1, 2020 and Sept. 30, 2021, a 15.7% increase from $62 million in 2019, which was also a record. Fueling the success was the growth in what overnight visitors pay for a room, or Average Daily Rate (ADR), the hotel data tracking company STR said. The average rate was $158.07 per night, a 6.4% increase from $148.51 in 2019.
