WellCare gets top score on Disability Equality Index
July 18, 2019 - WellCare Health Plans Inc. scored 100 percent on the 2019 Disability Equality Index. The index is based on an annual national survey that scores businesses on their disability inclusion policies and practices. WellCare (NYSE: WCG), a managed care provider based in Tampa, has a Community Connections Help Line to connect callers to a database of social service agencies, as well as American Sign Language and other interpreter services. WellCare was the only company headquartered in the Tampa-St. Pete area to appear on the index, although several large businesses with operations in the area also had scores of 80 percent or better.
