Clearwater home tied to actor John Travolta sells in $4M deal
A Clearwater home tied to Hollywood actor John Travolta has sold.
The waterfront home at 1012 Osceola Ave. N., in the Old Clearwater Bay neighborhood, sold for $4 million, according to Pinellas County records.
The buyer was listed as Edward Fay, who is a local wealth management specialist.
Fay took out a $3 million mortgage with Fifth Third Bank for the purchase.
The St. Pete Catalyst previously reported the home was pending a sale.
The listing agent is Rafal Wazio of Coldwell Banker Realty. Wazio declined to comment on the purchase and details on the new homeowner.
Travolta has a lengthy involvement with the Church of Scientology; the home is roughly a mile from Scientology’s international spiritual headquarters in downtown Clearwater. It’s also next door to two properties owned by fellow Scientologist and actor Kirstie Alley, according to public records.
The home was listed on the market for $4.65 million.
The property last changed hands in 2017 for $3 million. The 2017 transaction was made through the Hawker Investment Trust, which is a trust with Travolta’s sister Ellen Bannon as the lead trustee.
