 A three-story, single-family residence located at 420 Coffee Pot Riviera NE, St. Petersburg has hit the market with an asking price of $5.25 million. The 5,144 square feet of living space, with five bedrooms, four full baths and one half-bath, is situated on a 0.55-acre lot on a protected inlet of Tampa Bay.

The grand entrance features a tongue-and-groove ceiling, reminiscent of a boat’s hull, and columns designed to resemble the natural form and texture of trees. The primary bedroom is on the first level as well as a bonus room that can be used as another bedroom, office or media room. Guest quarters are located on the second floor.

A 695 square-foot four-car garage, part of which has been converted to a gym, offers flexibility for extra vehicles or workout space. The outdoor area features a large infinity pool and a grandfathered-in boathouse for watercraft storage.

 Clearwater Home Depot property sells

Property occupied by The Home Depot, located at 2495 Gulf to Bay Blvd., Clearwater, sold June 4 for $23 million, $1.725 million below the asking price. The deed for the sale was recorded with the Pinellas County clerk’s office June 28. The home improvement retailer, with over 2,300 stores across North America, holds a 30-year NNN lease with three years remaining, followed by two five-year option periods to renew.

The one-story, 136,375 gross square-foot structure was built in 1995. It sits on a 13.12-acre parcel of land across from Costco and the Clearwater Mall. The seller, NNN Clearwater FL Owner LP, acquired the property in 2018 for $17.9 million.

The purchaser, 258 Third Avenue LLC, is a foreign limited liability company which registered with the State of Florida in June 2024. The company secured a $5.2 million mortgage from Hana Bank USA National, and is managed by Hee Nam Bae, a Korean-American investment entrepreneur with offices in New York City.

 Two-year old Gulfport home lists

Built in 2022, a three-story home overlooking the 170-acre Clam Bayou Preserve has listed for $1.59 million. The 4-bedroom, 3.5-bath residence, with 2,556 square feet of living space, is located at 2610 Quincy Street S., Gulfport and sits on a 0.14-acre lot.

The combination living room and family room on the main level features a four-panel sliding glass wall that opens up to a 17-foot by 14-foot fully caged outdoor living deck. The kitchen offers a coffered ceiling, a granite slab kitchen island, Bosch appliances, pendant lighting and an apron sink. The 20-foot by 22-foot owner’s suite is at the rear of home and provides a large walk-in closet, his and hers granite-topped vanities and a balcony overlooking Clam Bayou.

On the lower level is a two-stall garage with room for two vehicles, a golf cart and a home gym. Outdoors is a grill and a saltwater pool, completed in 2023.  An electric fence surrounds the property for added security. Additional highlights include a 40-year metal roof, double-pane high-impact windows, a custom elevator, solar power and 700 square feet of balconies on the second and third levels.

Kay’s Family Restaurant closes and sells

Kay’s Family Restaurant, a family-owned and operated breakfast and lunch staple in St. Petersburg for 28 years, closed its doors June 23, and the owners sold the business and property at 6475 Central Ave. June 28 for $1.6 million, $400,000 below the asking price.

The one-story, 2,345 gross square-foot concrete structure was built in 1970 and sits on a 0.39-acre double lot. The turn-key restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating, 32 parking spaces and 170 feet of frontage on Central Avenue.

Gzim and Kadrije Xheka purchased the property in 1997 for $250,000. The restaurant’s Facebook page posted notice of the closing: “After 28 years Kay’s Family Restaurant will be closing permanently on June 23. We would like to thank our customers and staff for your support in making our business a success. We look forward to spending more time with our families. We will miss you all. Thank you, Gzim and Zafi.”

The purchaser, Florida Rental Properties Lake Pasadena LLC, with offices in Tampa, filed as a limited liability company with the State of Florida in April 2024. The listing was provided by Brad Meinck with Coastal Properties Group.

 Prince Gregor Apartments lists for sale

A 13-unit multifamily apartment complex, located at 844 5th Avenue S., St. Petersburg, has listed with an asking price of $2.34 million. Prince Gregor Apartments offers a mixture of studio, one-bedroom/one-bath and two-bedroom/two-bath units.

The one-building, two-story, 7,090 gross square-foot structure was built in 1948 and is situated on 0.24 acres of land. Each floor has 3,309 square feet of living space. An unfinished basement and open porch add another 472 square feet. All of the units were recently upgraded with new stainless-steel appliances, bamboo composite cabinetry, tiled or steel backsplashes, upgraded countertops, modern fixtures and tiled showers.

Additional highlights include on-site laundry and storage facilities; new wiring, plumbing and fire alarm and security access system; new split HVAC systems in every unit; a gated parking lot; and restoration to the exterior façade. The property is within walking distance to Tropicana Field and restaurants and retail establishments along Central Avenue and Beach Drive.

The seller, 844 5th Ave LLC, purchased the property in 2021 for $1.78 million. The listing is provided by Cary Brown and Mark Savarese with Franklin Street Tampa.

1920 Da Vista Neighborhood home sells

A 6-bedroom, 3-bath colonial-style home located at 7535 3rd Avenue N. in the Da Vista neighborhood of St. Petersburg, sold July 2 for $900,000, $50,000 below the original asking price. The 3,810 gross square-foot property sits on a 0.21-acre parcel of land.

The two-story, four-bedroom, two-bath main residence was built in 1920 and features wood flooring throughout. The first level, with 1,410 heated square feet, offers an open floor plan with a wood-burning fireplace and a kitchen with ceiling-tall cabinets, a large pantry and an attached breakfast room. Off the kitchen is a small bedroom or nursery with its own bathroom. An all-wood staircase leads to the 900 square-foot upper level with three bedrooms, and a large bath with a jacuzzi tub and double vanity.

Also on the property is a 1,460 square-foot structure built in 1935. It combines a garage on the lower level with a 2-bedroom, 1-bath income-producing apartment upstairs. A new HVAC system was installed in 2019 and roofs on both buildings were replaced in 2023.

The property was last purchased in 1990 for $144,200. The seller was represented by David Masi with Realty One Group Sunshine. Denise Antonewitz with Keller Williams St. Pete Realty represented the buyer.
