Ahead of storm, local concerts and more canceled, postponed

With Tropical Storm Helene threatening heavy rains, strong winds and storm surge over the next few days, bay area arts organizations have begun canceling or postponing concerts and other performances.

Jobsite Theater has canceled Thursday night’s performance of the comedy POTUS.

The Florida Orchestra has canceled its chamber music concerts The Intimate Mahler: Symphony No. 1, scheduled for Wednesday at St. Mary’s Church in St. Petersburg and Thursday at the New Tampa Performing Arts Center.

The preview performances of Ring of Fire: The Music of Johnny Cash Wednesday and Thursday at American Stage have been canceled. Friday’s scheduled opening date has not changed.

The Museum of Fine Arts St. Petersburg will be closed Wednesday and Thursday.

The Imagine Museum will be closed Thursday.
