Exactly two years have passed since Chris and Ryan Zubrick raised the curtain on St. Petersburg’s one and only house of magic.

To call Zubrick Magic Theatre a success would be under-selling the place. Just last week, Travelers Choice named their midtown business the #1 theater in the city. For the second consecutive year.

The Zubricks, as you’ll hear in this edition of our Arts Alive! podcast, landed in St. Pete almost by accident. Michigan-born and bred, they were looking for the right place to launch their first stateside theater after spending more than a dozen years entertaining visitors and residents of Saipan and Guam.

Chris and Ryan talk about their early days, as kid magicians, how they met and how their careers evolved. And how they knew that St. Pete was the ideal city for them and their son Oliver, who’s now 6.
