Welcome to the first Arts Alive! podcast of 2025. We ring in the new year with a casual conversation with Paul Wilborn and Eugenie Bondurant, St. Petersburg’s first couple of the arts, to talk about the exciting things they’ve got lined up for the months to come.

The Palladium Theater – Paul is the executive director – celebrates its 100th anniversary this year. Ongoing is the $10 million capital campaign, announced in 2023, to make significant improvements to the church-turned-performing arts center. Everything is once again in “go” mode, after the building was adversely affected, in a minor way, by the twin hurricanes.

The former journalist also discusses his upcoming (third) book, tentatively titled The Everlasting Life of Charlie Wall.

Eugenie discusses her most recent movie roles, including Castile Landon’s Summer Camp (starring Diane Keaton, Alfre Woodard and Kathy Bates), Ali Scher’s Popular Theory, and the soon-to-arrive thriller The School Duel.

She also effuses about the students who are taking (and graduating from, and going on to big things from) her acting classes at Green Light Cinema.

So hello 2025, let’s get started!
