Dynasty Financial Partners formally announced Friday it will sponsor three professional athletes with ties to St. Petersburg.

Headquartered in St. Pete, the financial advisor group seeks to maintain a strong presence in the community, despite having locations across the country. According to a press release, the company sought out local tennis star Danielle Collins, pro-golfer Chase Koepka and pro racecar-driver Sebastien Bourdais to sponsor in 2021.

“I’m from St Pete and have strong ties to this community,” Collins said via email. “Dynasty Financial Partners has differentiated themselves by taking a lead in embracing me and some other local St. Pete athletes.”

Sally Cates, director of public relations and communications for Dynasty, told the Catalyst that the company’s ongoing relationship with Collins is also part of its initiative to support gender representation, which is lacking in its industry, as well as in pro sports and other professional fields.

Collins, born in St. Pete, is one of the top-ranking players in the Women’s Tennis Association, and was a semifinalist in the 2019 Australian Open. The local athlete also drew attention after defeating world No. 1 Australian tennis-star Ashleigh Barty at the Adelaide International early this year. Now, she will sport Dynasty-branded gear alongside Koepka and Bourdais.

Koepka lives in Jupiter, but attended the University of South Florida from 2012-2016. Brother to Brooks Koepka, also a top-ranking golfer, Koepka went pro right after graduation, and has since competed in over 20 tournaments around the world.

French-born Bourdais is also a Tampa Bay transplant currently residing in St. Pete, between motorsport races like the Indy 500. The driver is a two-time winner of the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Pete, in which he is a frequent participant. This year, he came in 10th place.

Dynasty specializes in wealth management and technology solutions that help independent investment advisors grow their clients’ businesses and personal wealth. While the company is constantly expanding partnerships and programs, the sponsorship announcement is intended to emphasize Dynasty’s commitment to Tampa Bay, and that it is working with these athletes as a way to put “St. Pete first.”

Reflected Collins: “I really appreciate them demonstrating their commitment to me as a local athlete playing the international circuit, and to St. Pete in general.”
