Embarc Collective, Florida’s fastest-growing startup hub, has entered a partnership with ReliaQuest, a security operations platform delivered as a service worldwide, to host The Glaring Gap Summit. The two Tampa entities will also work together to create more opportunities for the 125-plus members at Embarc.

“Brian Murphy [CEO and founder of ReliaQuest] is an incredible inspiration and guide for people and high-growth companies,” Embarc Collective CEO Lakshmi Shenoy said, noting how companies working toward reaching unicorn status can resonated with ReliaQuest’s journey.

ReliaQuest, which is one of the few local companies to surpass the coveted $1 billion unicorn valuation, works with Fortune 1000 companies all over the world.

Through the partnership, the The Glaring Gap Summit, sponsored by ReliaQuest, will be held at Embarc Collective in November.

“There’s obviously a gap in the amount of capital women-led startups receive versus male-led startups. We will train about 50 women in the startup community about the due diligence and skills needed to receive funding through venture funds, equity capital campaigns and more,” Shenoy said.

The attendees will range from college students to accredited investors. The three-day training event, which kicks off Nov. 9, will be led by Angela Lee, founder of 37 Angels. ReliaQuest executives will also speak during the event.

While this is the third year for the summit, it’s the first time it will be held in person at Embarc Collective.

The Embarc Collective’s space commonly used to host events will be rebranded and revamped as the ReliaQuest Auditorium at Embarc Collective. The auditorium will “showcase the growth and engagement of ReliaQuest with the local startup community.” This event space is projected to host over 150 technology and entrepreneurship-focused events this year.

There will also be engagement opportunities for entrepreneurs to connect with ReliaQuest through Embarc Collective’s Corporate Advisory Council.

“Building a company is one of the hardest things to do. Having the world-class resources of Embarc Collective will ensure that more companies can succeed in Florida,” Murphy said in a news release. “ReliaQuest is honored to partner with a founder-focused organization like Embarc Collective that offers top-rated individualized support to facilitate growth and enhance the bustling startup ecosystem in the Tampa Bay region and across Florida.”

Murphy has served on Embarc Collective’s board since 2021.
