Saint Petersburg Month of Photography (SPMOP) returns this May 2026 for its fourth edition, bringing a dynamic, month-long celebration of lens-based art to the Tampa Bay area. The festival features a diverse lineup of exhibitions, events, and professional development opportunities, highlighted by ALT TAMPA, a powerful solo exhibition by current Photo Laureate Jesi Cason at FMOPA, and a showcase of the five finalists for the 2026 Photo Laureate award at the Morean Arts Center.

In addition to its signature exhibitions, SPMOP collaborates with local cultural institutions to present a wide-ranging program, including gallery shows, photo walks, artist talks, and community events across the region. Highlights include exhibitions at the Museum of Motherhood and the James Museum, interactive experiences like SIP & SNAP at FloridaRAMA, and educational opportunities such as photo walks and a Photo Book Night in Tampa. As the only nonprofit in Tampa Bay dedicated exclusively to photography, SPMOP continues to foster meaningful connections between artists and audiences while celebrating the depth and diversity of the local creative community.
