DanceBreak is projectALCHEMY’s virtual/in person dance experiment created in partnership with The Studio@620. Join us for a live event on Friday, March 24th at The Studio@620. Alexander Jones will talk with local dance artists and collaborators about their process and practices in creating dance works. For this session, projectALCHEMY takes a look into the process of creating Jazz Theory, with projectALCHEMY Artist Director Alex Jones and local jazz icon Jeremy Carter. These two collaborators will reflect on the experience of combining the modes of jazz improvisation with dance composition and give a preview or two of the upcoming revival of Jazz Theory with Jeremy. This event will also be presented via livestream on Vimeo Live.
