TAMPA HALLOWEEN CONCERT TRADITION FANGSGIVING ANNOUNCES FINAL SHOW
All-star charity benefit “goes out with a Fang” October 17 & 18
(TAMPA, FL) — It’s been said that autumn is the time of things ending, and while we don’t have much of a fall season in the Sunshine State, this year that’s true—at least, it is for Tampa Bay’s best rock ‘n’ roll costume-ball fundraiser.
Fangsgiving, Power Bottom Productions’ yearly tribute show that features local and regional musicians dressing up and performing as their favorite artists, has become a Bay area institution over the past seven years. It’s also raised more than $25,000 and collected more than 300 instruments for distribution to musical education programs and individuals in need.
This year’s installment boasts a packed two-day lineup of 20 acts that includes alt-country heroes Have Gun, Will Travel and Urbane Cowboys, singer-songwriters Rebekah Pulley, Deb Ruby and Jeremy Gloff, rising post-punk outfit Choking on the Revelry, and a reunion set by global power-pop sensation Barely Pink, among many others. Friday and Saturday's shows will also offer up unique, one-night-only surprise lineups and collaborations, covering such icons as Prince, The Rolling Stones, The White Stripes, Smashing Pumpkins, George Michael and more.
All proceeds from Fangsgiving VIII benefit Instruments 4 Life, a nonprofit dedicated to providing music and arts equipment and instruction to Tampa area youth.
This will be the biggest Fangsgiving ever. Unfortunately, it will also be the last in its current incarnation. Host venue Crowbar, a longtime leading light amid the Tampa Bay live-music scene, is set to shutter in the summer of 2026, and the minds behind the event have decided Fangsgiving is just too inextricably intertwined with the club’s special character, crowd and history to try to recreate it somewhere else in the future. But they’re going out with a fang, making this very special hometown holiday hotness an experience not to be missed.
Adults 18 & up are welcome, as are those under 18 with a parent. Doors open at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15 for one night or $20 for both nights, and available at the event’s Facebook page and through VenuePilot. Crowbar is located at 1812 N. 17th St. in Tampa’s historic Ybor City district.
