Experience Folk Art, Live Music & Local Community at Creative Clay!
Join us for Creative Clay’s Friday Folk Art Market, where folk art, music, and community come together to celebrate creativity and inclusion!
Creative Clay’s Transition student artists and member artists from the Community Arts Program are proud to host this vibrant market featuring a diverse collection of folk art, including ceramics, paintings, and handmade greeting cards. Folk art is a reflection of cultural traditions, storytelling, and personal creativity—each piece is handcrafted with love and authenticity by our talented artists.
What to Expect:
- Folk Art for Sale: Unique ceramics, paintings, greeting cards & more
- Live Art: Member artists available for live portrait drawings (donation-based, with 100% going directly to the artist!)
- Music & Entertainment: Live performance by Emily Turnage (10 AM – 12 PM) + Karaoke with our member artists (12 PM – 2 PM)
- Delicious Food: This month’s food truck is KC’s Quesadillas – come hungry!
At Creative Clay, we celebrate folk art as a form of self-expression and cultural storytelling, and we believe everyone deserves access to the arts. The Friday Folk Art Market is an extension of our mission—to provide expressive, educational, and vocational experiences in the arts for people with disabilities.
As part of the Creative Clay Transition Program, this market provides hands-on vocational arts training for students with disabilities, helping them develop skills in sales, marketing, customer service, and the business of being an artist. By shopping at the market, you’re not only supporting local folk artists, but also helping empower artists with disabilities to build meaningful careers in the arts.
