“Saturday Night Lights, Florida and Football”
Seminar by Professor and Author, Dr. Gary Mormino

On Wednesday, September 18, at 5:30 PM, Dr. Gary Mormino will relate fascinating stories of Floridians and their historic die-hard passion for football in his presentation, “Saturday Night Lights, Florida and Football.” This Beach Drive Forum is a free seminar sponsored by First Presbyterian Church, 701 Beach Drive NE, St. Pete. Dr. Mormino is a Professor Emeritus of Florida History and co-founder of the Florida Studies program at USF St. Petersburg. A past recipient of the Florida Humanities Lifetime Achievement Award for Writing as well as named a Florida Icon by Florida Trend, he has authored numerous books on Florida history.

Beach Drive Forums, are monthly conversations for the community with intriguing speakers on thought-provoking topics. They are held on Wednesdays from 5:30-7:30 PM in Fellowship Hall of First Presbyterian Church. Doors open at 5:30 PM, presentation is at 6 PM. Refreshments and Q&A are included. Open to the public. Best parking is in the church lot off N. Shore Dr. NE.
