Tampa Bay Watch, Ocean Aid 360, the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, and Coastal Impact Fund are coordinating volunteer boaters to participate in a derelict crab trap and marine debris removal effort Saturday, July 15 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fort De Soto Park’s boat ramp and Belleair Causeway’s boat ramp in conjunction with FWC seasonal trap fishing closures. In addition to volunteers who will bring private vessels, walking volunteers are needed for shoreline cleanup at the two sites. Lunch, swag, and prizes will be provided free of cost.
