The MFA welcomes families with children with sensory sensitivities to explore the galleries on the 1st Saturday of every month, from 10 am to 12 pm. During this time, all rotating audio components will be turned down or muted to ensure a calm environment.
Please join the museum during our Sensory Saturday Hands-On program for activities, filled with sensory play. During these quarterly, hands-on activity days, visitors are invited to play with non-toxic and sensory-friendly materials to experiment and explore through our senses. You can create works of art to take home too!
All ages are welcome to join; although the program activities are generally geared towards ages 2-10. This month we will collaborate with Curious Creations Co. to focus on the five senses, connecting various artwork in the MFA Permanent Collection to how we use our senses to appreciate art.
