All-American 50 at 250 celebration brings community together for two historic anniversaries

• What: Pinellas County Parks & Conservation Resources invites residents and visitors of all ages to the All-American 50 at 250 Bash. This family-friendly festival honors Heritage Village's 50th anniversary and the nation's 250th anniversary, featuring live Americana music, historic exhibit openings, a Patriotic Dog Costume Contest, and other traditional summer activities. Admission to this milestone event is free.

This signature event combines Heritage Village’s 50th Anniversary and the nation’s 250th anniversary into a community-wide celebration. Attendees are encouraged to arrive in red, white, and blue attire and take part in Americana-inspired entertainment. Key highlights of the day include honoring the four-legged finalists of the Patriotic Dog Costume Contest, a historic postcard improv comedy show, and a community reading of the Declaration of Independence. Food trucks and cooling stations will be on site to satisfy appetites and give relief from the summer heat.

The festival features live music from headliner Cassie Jean and the Fireflies on the Patriots Plaza Main Stage, alongside traditional acoustic songs performed by Jonesboro Station. Families can also gather at the historic Harris School for a special Time Capsule Ceremony, which will seal local community memories and messages away for 25 years.

The day also unveils two major exhibitions: the brand-new permanent display, 50 Years of Collecting, Preserving, and Sharing in the Roy Helms gallery, and the opening of the Many Voices, One Nation: Stories of Democracy in Our Parks exhibition at the Madeira Beach Cottage.
