Come learn natural indigo dyeing techniques in this beginner level fabric dyeing class.

Did you know that most dyes used in the textile industry contain harmful ingredients? Or that the runoff from the dyeing process is a huge contributor to water pollution? But there’s hope! There are many beautiful natural dyes, like indigo, that do not harm the environment OR our bodies.

Saturday, July 27th 9am -11am (before it gets too hot)
@ Sans Market 1037 Central Ave.

Each participant will learn:

The natural art of Indigo dyeing
How to maintain a vat
Shibori folding techniques to create unique patterns

What you will dye:

1 Mesh bag
1 Dish towel
1 (small) personal item *Item must be a natural fabric (wool, cotton or linen)

Since this is a hands on and interactive class spots are limited so don’t delay! This class will be outside so plan and dress accordingly. Tickets are $65 per person. Sign up in store or by calling 727-332-7000.
