Lead Like You Mean It - An Evening with Laysha Ward at Tombolo Books

In Lead Like You Mean It, Laysha Ward draws on her storied career as one of the nation’s top Black female C-suite executives to show readers the answer: leading with meaning. As you learn to focus on self-care and total well-being, navigate the highs and lows of life and career, and shape a legacy that leaves people and things better off than you found them, you’ll discover that leading with meaning—at any age—is the key to a well-lived life.

Tombolo Books welcomes local author and accomplished C-suite executive Laysha Ward to the bookstore to celebrate the release of her leadership book, Lead Like You Mean It: Lessons on Integrity and Purpose from the C-Suite! Ward will be in conversation with fellow local author Karen Davis-Pritchett.

LAYSHA WARD is an accomplished C-suite executive with more than thirty-two years of leadership experience at Target Corporation. She serves on a variety of public company, nonprofit and civic boards.

Karen Davis-Pritchett is a native of St. Petersburg, FL. Karen is a graduate of Florida State University and received a Master’s of Education degree from Howard University.

Her career has spanned from being a public-school educator, Parent Involvement Specialist, to her current role, Vice President for a nonprofit healthcare system. She is an active member of her community and truly believes that everyone has a responsibility to use their talents and gifts to improve our world. Karen Davis-Pritchett’s affiliations include being a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. and the NCNW St. Petersburg Metropolitan Section, a certified Laughter Yoga group facilitator, and various national hospice and palliative care committees.

Karen launched Strong and Beautiful, www.strongkdp.org, to amplify messages of purpose and inspiration. She is the proud author of two books, CrossRoads, as well as Strong and Beautiful.
