Join us for our Paws for Literacy Program which helps our shelter animals feel more comfortable, making them more adoptable. Children develop their reading skills and empathy for animals in a nurturing environment.
Paws for Literacy is open to all children ages 5 through 12.
We provide reading stools, books, and treats (for the animals) but children are welcome to bring their own books and homework if they wish. Books provided range from animal tales, stories of the animal-human bond and books that teach empathy to young readers.

Paws for Literacy occurs Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:45 PM - 4:00 PM.
We are following CDC guidelines of temperature checks, social distancing, and face masks.
