The St. Petersburg Foundation, Pinellas Community Foundation, and the Customer Experience Laboratory at the University of South Florida Muma College of Business have joined forces to create a comprehensive survey to explore the state of the nonprofit sector in Pinellas County.

The organizations are pleased to announce the results of the survey will be unveiled at two upcoming events in Pinellas County. Both events are free and open to the public. The survey results will be presented at two locations: the Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art on the St. Petersburg College Tarpon Springs campus on Tuesday, September 26 from 4-6 p.m., and the Center for Health Equity in St. Petersburg on Wednesday, October 4th from 9-11 a.m.

The events will feature presentations by experts from the Pinellas Community Foundation, St. Petersburg Foundation, and local nonprofit professionals who will discuss the findings of the survey and their implications for the nonprofit sector in Pinellas County.

The survey aimed to understand the pandemic experiences, needs, and challenges of individual nonprofit organizations and their leaders. The survey was conducted through USF's Customer Experience Laboratory, recognized as national experts in survey methodology and analysis. The Pinellas County Nonprofit Assessment survey was launched in October of 2022, and the findings of the survey have been eagerly awaited by the nonprofit community in Pinellas County.

"The nonprofit sector plays an important role in addressing community needs for residents in our region," said Joe Hamilton, Founder of the St. Petersburg Foundation. "This survey provides valuable insights into the state of the nonprofit sector in Pinellas County and will help us identify areas where we can work together to support the nonprofit community."

The survey was inspired by and builds upon the 2018 Pinellas County Nonprofit Scan and Survey, generously commissioned by the Foundation for a Healthy St. Petersburg.
