Well friends, Hurricane Milton is determined to make SHINE 10 one to remember. This isn’t exactly what we meant by “extra special” but alas, Mother Nature has her own plans.
The opening event at the @moreanartscenter has been rescheduled for Friday, October 18. All painting is on pause until we are able to determine Milton’s impact.
As of now, the Finale event at @floridarama.art is still on for October 19. We will reevaluate after the storm.
We know #shineonstpete holds a special place in the hearts of many here and abroad. We are eager to celebrate this milestone and the incredible artists that have made SHINE such a positive force in our city. It is our hope we can provide a much needed ray of sunshine after this storm
Until then, please keep St. Pete and all of our neighboring cities in your thoughts and prayers.
We’ll see you in the streets again soon
Opening Reception: Friday, October 11th, 5pm to 8pm
SHINE, St. Petersburg’s iconic mural festival, turns 10 this year, and the Morean is marking this milestone with an exhibition of nearly 100 SHINE artists from the past decade. See brand new works by familiar artists as well as those from this year’s lineup, which includes international, national and regional muralists.
