Join us for the third and final event in our the ins and outs series, celebrating the expansive, genre-defying legacy of Nina Yankowitz. This 21+ evening is led by The Honourable Elizabeth A. Baker—a new renaissance artist whose ever-evolving, uncategorizable practice resonates deeply with Nina’s own multidisciplinary vision.
Scanning: Sound in your eyes with The Honourable Elizabeth A. Baker culminates in an immersive evening of sound and interpretation. Known for her boundary-pushing sounds and commitment to inclusive programming, The Honourable Elizabeth A. Baker brings a deeply conceptual and collaborative energy to the experience. Following an intimate conversation with curator Katherine Pill, guests will be invited into a lively dialogue at their tables using creative prompt cards inspired by Nina’s work.
The night then opens into a hands-on sound lab, where guests can engage in live musical interpretation of Nina’s paintings using synthesizers. This sonic exploration, facilitated by The Honourable Elizabeth A. Baker and audio engineers from Pulp Arts, invites you to listen, respond, and create in a space where no boundaries apply.
